Course description

This qualification reflects the role of individuals in a variety of Business Services job roles. It is likely that these individuals are establishing their own work performance.

Individuals in these roles carry out a range of routine procedural, clerical, administrative or operational tasks that require technology and business skills. They apply a broad range of competencies using some discretion, judgment and relevant theoretical knowledge. They may provide technical advice and support to a team.

Course duration

This course is delivered over 26 weeks of full time study at 20 hours per week of scheduled class time. This includes three weeks holidays.

Delivery method

This qualification is delivered face-to-face in the classroom. There is a new intake each month.

Pre-requisites

  • All students must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Satisfactory completion of year 10 or equivalent
  • There are no specific academic prerequisites for any of the units in this course.

This course is designed for people who want to find administrative or customer service roles in a business environment.

Academic pathways

Individuals who successfully complete the Certificate III in Business may study Certificate IV in Business.

Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL)

Students who have completed any of the units of study or have practical experience that may be used for recognition of prior learning must contact Cambridge College Australia prior to enrollment.

Assessment

As this is a competency based program, assessment continues throughout the duration of the course until the participant either achieves competency in the assessment tasks or a further training need is identified and addressed.
